One of the sweetest sounds...

Welcome to the days of belly laughs, grins and giggles. Our sweet baby girl will be 10 months old tomorrow, and I cannot believe that we simply blinked our eyes, and she's so close to being ONE! Time flies when you're having fun, and we are sure having fun with this one. Hope this makes you day as much as it did mine!

Breaking Up is hard to do...

Since I switched blogs, I'm realizing how much I'm leaving behind. Colton's first days, my pregnancy, our house remodel/moving saga. I hate to leave it. I'd like to think that it will forever be saved at xanga.com -- but how do you know? I should print it out....and probably will, but just for my own sakes...when I get old and decrepit and can't remember a darn thing... www.xanga.com/kstockment stockmentfriends stockment There. Now I won't forget, and can always go back for memories!  (And if you're just following us for the first time, and you're REALLY REALLY bored...you can go back in time too!)

Test - from my old blog...

Originally posted on July 2, 2010 -- Welcome to the world Emmalyn Margaret Stockment!! That's the post that should have been made over a month ago. I can remember when we were pregnant/about due with Colton I'd given Mom both my facebook and xanga passwords so she could promptly help me spread the word about our new arrival. Within hours, everyone knew that Colton had entered the world and all were happy and healthy. When we found out we were expecting number two, all I remember hearing is "oh, you won't take as many pictures" or "oh, it's just different with your second, third, fourth...". I remember vowing to not let that happen, but guess what? It did. And to whomever told me you're just too busy to constantly sit around snapping photos and documenting every single "first" with baby, YOU WERE RIGHT!!! So, Emmalyn, I promise to you that I'm trying my very hardest to document your early days and capture lots of pictures, because ...

Family Time

Jason and I are lucky to find nights where we are organized enough to get home from work, supper on the table, house picked up, chores done, kids bathed and things quieted back down by 8pm. It doesn't happen often. Tonight, we really tagteamed the efforts, and at 5 til 8, we were both in our comfy clothes, curled up in our chairs, ready to veg out to the tube. Colton and I in the chair all snuggled in (with our ice cream!) were nice and relaxed...until Jason decides it's time to watch a show on skinning a coyote. No, you didn't read that wrong. Suddenly, instead of relaxing in my chair, cuddled up with my oldest, enjoying my ice cream....I'm gagging at the show's host is now covered in blood giving me step by step instructions on how to successfully cut through cartilidge and get the skin off the coyote. GAG GAG GAG. I swear to you. My husband is into some WEIRD things. PS. This isn't a new skill to him. It's not like he's learning how to skin a coyo...

Girls night out..again, and again, and again...

Jason and I have a continual argument going in our household over who does more "on their own" or "out with the guys/girls". There's really nothing to argue about, he wins that race hands down (no need to consult him about this, thank you very much)...if you could the number of hours he is away from our family either in a tree stand, out with his coyote buddies or on a snowmobiling trip (just to name a FEW of his many hobbies), I'm sure that they'd far outweigh the hours I get to spend shopping with my mother (kid-free), or the one every other month Frontier Girls night outs, or the one time a YEAR TCHS girls get together. You do see my point, correct? Well, here lately, he made the mistake of telling me to "get a hobby, go out with the girls more...just chill out"...probably during a heated argument over how much time he was spending away from the house, and how ready for ME time I was. Nonetheless, he said it. And you bet your you know what...
