Thursday, 28 August 2008 Okay, this might classify me as a bad parent, but I couldn't resist. While freezing peaches last night, I could hear Colton wimpering from the sunroom....so when I went in to peak in on him....this is what I found. Which, immediately made me think of this... Okay, I know he looks like he is in pain, but honestly, he was fine -- he was just really cranky last night because he's got a bad constantly runny nose, a hoarse voice, and I'd say just all over doesn't feel good. Normally, I think I could have gotten a smile for this photo. Maybe there will be a repeat performance...who knows. Did I mention too that he's trying to crawl? It's scary...I have to watch him that much more now. No more putting him in front of his barnyard to play, and getting things accomplished. The kid needs a pen to keep him in one location! I had hoped to update this blog like right away after we got back from vacation, because I got some awesome photos, some great stories to share, etc....and here it is, Wednesday after we returned on Friday, and I'm just now thinking about updating. What's worse, is that there might be typos, because I'm trying to multi task. I'm on a noon conference call with one of my upcoming workshops, and obviously, I'm not interested. haha So, I'm taking this portion of my time to update my blog, while I'm stuck here at my desk. Vacation - in a single word - AMAZING! We had a blast. We left on Saturday morning at 5am from our house, traveling with Seth & Jenna Maxwell, John, Jessica & Meredith Gretencord, Jill & Austin Pangle & Ryan Clark and headed for Alabama. We knew the trip only took about 13 hours, and we knew we had two babies...so the trip could potentially be longer if the kids were a nightmare to travel with. Let me first say ...

Monday, 18 August 2008 We are officially on vacation. And it....ROCKS! We are steps away from the waves crashing the ocean, we have an awesome house, good company, and well....lots of drinks that taste great in the hot sand with your feet in the water. It's been awesome, and we've really only been here for a little more than 24 hours! I don't have any pictures to post yet...I really didn't think we'd have internet...but obviously, we do. I probably won't update again until after vacation, but holy cow....this place is amazing. Nothing beats listening to the waves crash the beach as you fall asleep at night. Good times....definitely good times....

  First I have to apologize that it's been 2 whole weeks since I've last written in this thing. I mean, really, what's been going on that is so important that I don't have time to blog. I'll tell you...everything. Why is it that the few days, or the many days directly before a vacation, things at work and home just go absolutely buck crazy?   Let's back up to my last post...the "we almost gave Murphy away" drama. I must tell you what happened that night. After the disparaging day I had at work, and contemplating giving away our doggy, I rushed home to see him and pet him and tell him I was sorry for even considering it. Jason and I were both all cuddly, and lovey with him, and generally, just really good owners. Finally, we got Colton to bed, and after crashing on the couch for an hour or so to watch TV, we decided to go to bed. In the last few months, I've talked a lot about love. The love between Jason and I, the love we both have for Colton, and the love of feeling like a family. Well...this morning, I felt a love renewed. Let me explain... About two years ago, just before Jason's birthday, we made a life changing decision. Something I swore we would never do, because, well, let's face it...I'd never had it growing up, and was dead set against it. But for some odd reason, we both decided that we were going to purchase a dog. Because we lived in town, it wasn't going to be some big/outside dog. No, we'd watched how cute his parents shih tzu was, and we decided we'd like something similar. They don't shed, they're good dogs, laid back, etc. So, on October 6th, we found, bought, and fell immediately in love with Murphy Stockment, leaping shih tzu.
