This is BIG...

Well...let's just let the video do the talking. And as always, remember the rules --     1. turn down your volume so you don't have to listen to our retarded sounding recorded voices.     2. don't mind the fact that this was basically like a photo shoot...only with video, so we tried to reproduce it multiple times.   Lastly -- I don't really know why I make the faces I do to get my child to want to come see me....but, whatever...it works! Enjoy!

TGIF....I hope!

Holy Crap. Can I say that? TGIF. I’m just praying that I survive today, so please say your prayers. Tuesday afternoon…I was walking through the tunnel of the Union, over to the Grant Street Garage to go home. As I’m walking up the stairs out of the Union, I completely bite it on the stairs, and fall clear to my knees. EMBARASSING. Some nice guy behind me of course, asks if I’m okay, and as my face goes through 50 shades of red…I think I said “Well shit…if I’d just pick up my feet”….and kind of made a joke out of it. I was so flustered from my klutziness…that I went to the 4 th floor when I was parked on the 3 rd , missed my turn going to Pam’s, and well…you see the trend here. It had me completely flustered and embarrassed. Not to mention, my foot was sore for the next couple of days because I probably pulled a muscle or something. EMBARRASSING. Let’s top that. Today, I’m happily taking my darling son into Pam’s, and going down her stairs, like I do every morning....

LONG post...

A lot has happened since the last time I blogged. I'm getting progressively worse at keeping up with this, but I'll continue to do my best. Utilizing lunch hour is usually the best option, so here goes nothing. This update will probably be filled with lots of pictures, because honestly -- who wants to really read what I have to say? Isn't it better to just share the bazillion pictures I've taken lately, and give you little snippets of our life lately? I can say this -- we've been busy. Big surprise huh? November was actually busier than I planned, and now it's December, and it doesn't even matter -- December is always busy. Holiday shopping, parities, hanging out and just enjoying time with family and being thankful for those around us. That's what we plan to do a lot of this year. Be thankful and enjoy. So....here you go... To start things off, we had a different babysitter for a week while Pam was vacationing in Florida. (We tried to co...

The little rat update...

Well, we've entered 9 months, and Colton weighed in at a whopping 23 lbs (22 lb 15 oz. to be exact)  and 28 1/2 inches long. He's Huge....go ahead, say it...he's got some Hall in him. But, he's an adorable huge right? He has been so fun lately - and folks, I'm here to say, that at 9 months, 15 days...the kid is on the verge of walking. It won't be long, all the signs are there, and he's a pretty determined guy -- what can we say, he gets that honest from both of his parents. Not to much new to update -- Colton's finally feeling better, although, has another snotty nose and a bit of a cough. I have a feeling it'll be never ending this winter. Jason's in Heaven -- it's hunting season and he's seen several good bucks. Shotgun opens up tomorrow, so we'll have Jacob all weekend, and I'll basically be one of those hunting widows. Work has slowed almost to a halt. I've got a quick registration for a conference in the...

Colton vs. Spaghetti - Take 1

Well...I made spaghetti casserole last night for dinner, and as we sat down to eat, it occurred to me that there was probably no good reason why Colton couldn't have a little bit of what we were having, vs. baby food. So, we gave it a go. And, the following ensued...HE LOVED IT!!! I wouldn't watch the video if you actually like spaghetti...I think my dad said it best when he said that a baby can make the most delicious food look completely nasty! HA We had to laugh, because at first, he just kind of looked at his tray, like "what do I do with that?" And we didn't have the camera out to catch it (it's probably what clicked the light bulb to go get the camera) but he picked up his first scoop of dinner, and immediately plopped his hand over hte side of the tray, and needless to say, he made Murphy's day....he just dropped that whole handful of spaghetti right onto the floor for his buddy Murph! Finally....he figured it out it was for him....

Two in one day...scary!

Well, with Halloween tomorrow, I thought I'd go ahead and freak everyone out and do two posts in two days. A new world record for me! HA Besides, last nights happenings were too funny/cute to not share. Plus, this might just be a short post...unless I go into "storytelling mode"...I hear I get windy? So, Colton was cranky when I picked him up from Pam's last night, and I worried that he'd be a little shit on the fun night we had planned. He was kind of cranky, but fell asleep taking his bottle from Gram on the way down to see Great Grandma. Of course, right as we pulled in, he dozed off. But, lucky enough for us, he woke right up, and was actually happy. So, we got him all dressed up, and took him in to see Great Grandma, trick or treating if you will. My Grandma Hall LOVES babies (duh, she had 9 of her own), and so obviously, she just goos and gaas over the little ones when they come see her. She thought Colton was adorable, and "just perf...

Almost Halloween

It's getting kind of sad that I start every new post with -- "sorry it's taken me so long" -- when I first started this, I was on it. Blogging nearly 2-3 times a week...now, I'm lucky to get in one good post a month! HA What's more is that I can find any excuse under the sun to blame this on - busy at work, busy at home, etc -- but the bottom line is this -- I just need to make the time to write, because when Colton's all grown up, I want to have something to look back on and remember his first years by. As Mike Birbiglia would say ... this is sort of my "secret public journal" -- with pictures attached. So today, as I sit here and eat my WW meal at my desk, I'll try to update you on what we've been up to. Work is going okay...slower than September, but certainly still busy. I'm learning that life hardly ever slows down. You know how we were so excited for Colton to start crawling? I'm totally over that. In fact, ...
