Memorial Day Weekend

Well, it's Tuesday...back to work after a long weekend, and I'm too lazy to tell you all about it. It would likely wear me out all over again. So...I'll just tell you about our jam packed weekend in pictures. Beware...this could take two posts! My weekend started Thursday night, since I took Friday off. Stacy came out to hang out, and help me handle two kids, as I had Meredith for the evening too. Who would have thought the little thing could be so attached to Aunt Kim! She was content being rocked in Stacy's arms, and when I left the room she just went nuts! But, I think she was tired, does this prove it? Auntie Stac & Colton -- I swear, she's going to spoil the crap out of my kid...without a doubt! The kids, checking each other out -- Meredith - 11 months, Colton 3 months (almost 4!)  Colton just wanted to hold her hand! Friday Colton and I set out to run some errands, despite the rainy no good weather. We stopped and visited Dad at wor...

A sudden realization

So, something occured to me this evening. Something I've somewhat known for a long time. Those of you who know me best, know that I love to cook. I thrive on trying new recipes, and watching the "hey, this is decent" or the "Ugh, don't make that again" faces that come with Jason's first bites. I'll try to make about anything, but homecooked, down home type foods are what I do best. Jason has even gone as far as saying I'm a better cook than his Mom, and that's a feat in  most men's eyes. However, amidst the cinnamon rolls from scratch, chicken and noodles, and sausage egg casseroles, is one long time favorite that I simply cannot get right. KRAFT MACARONI AND CHEESE - that's right. The stuff that comes in a box. The stuff you simply add some butter & milk to. It's basically made for you, and yet...I screw it up everytime. Tonight, as Colton sleeps and Jason is working outside to get a fence charged to keep the...

Wow. Three months!

Well, first of all, life has been busy since my last post. Sorry for the delay. In the few weeks that have passed a lot has happened. Colton is now 3 months old. 3 months...90 days, however you want to look at it...it's crazy! He's growing and changing so much that it's hard for us to keep up. And how much fun to watch him grow and change. He's so alive now, grabbing at us (and anything we put in his face for that matter), talking to us, smiling up a storm, kicking himself in circles, and sometimes, on a good day, rolling over (if propped up just right! HA ) He's growing like a weed too, to a point where I sometimes get nervous that perhaps my baby is too fat. Although, a good healthy baby is a fat baby, so no fears here...I hope. You know, if it were me, I don't think I'd be so worried, but I am now in charge of another persons life. What happens to him, is based on the decisions I make. Now would be a good time to become a good decision mak...
