Fun at the nursing home...

You know, growing up, I put my time in at the nursing home doing different things for community service, and I always left there kind of freaked out. Never did I guess my own Grandma would some day have to reside there. I'm not gonna lie, the first few months of transition weren't easy. Ask Jason, I was probably in tears 9/10 leaving her there. These days are different though. I've come to accept that even though she's the same old grandma Hall, she's also a new breed of grandma Hall, and that if you don't make the most out of the time we have left with her, you're wasting precious time crying and being sad. So, that's what we do. We try to get to visit her about once every two weeks, and we like to take Colton to see her, because Grandma Hall always has and always will love babies....although, nearly every time we go visit, she asks who he is....I think it's still hard for her to believe that HER grandbabies actually have babies! Long overdue post...

This one is mostly pictures folks. I've got a lot of updating to do -- we have had Easter, a weekend full of cookouts and a playdate with some long lost friends since my last post. Here are the pictures to prove what we've been up to -- and to say the least, it's been a ball. Colton is at such a fun stage right now -- constantly saying more and more, and he totally gets it, which I think is awesome. He knows how to help Mommy put the bath toys away, and if I tell him in the living room to put something "in the trash", he knows to go to the kitchen and finds the trash can. My kids smart...but hey, did you expect anything less? HA :) Enjoy! Easter Sunday 2009-  okay, I indulged while in Indy for a few days...and bought this hat. I thought it'd be cute....I think I was right, Jason thinks I am way wrong... His new Cubbies gear from Grandma & Grandpa Hall Colton rocked the Easter Egg hunt at Aunt Dee & Uncle Dan's....even amongst ...

Lonely ole Hotel Room...

Here I sit, at 10pm in my very own room at the Hyatt. Sounds luxurious doesn't it? It would be....and should be (considering they gave me wine, cheese, fruit & goodies upon arrival). Unfortunately, I'm here alone, so it's not as great as it sounds. I'm in Indy this week for the Priester National Extension Health Conference. So far, things are going just as planned, so I can't complain about that....I like it when something you've worked hard on comes together. We like success like that. However, I wish that my boys could be here too. I'm here to tell you, I have had a serious transformation in the past couple of years. Even in the last 10 years. 10 years ago, I was a junior in high school, playing sports, doing my thing with FFA and living life day to day, worrying only about getting my homework done and if I'd have something to do come Friday night. Fast foward a few years, and I was a State FFA officer, traveling the state, going p...
