The things they say...

Sometimes, I have to just sit in awe of the words that spew from you kids mouths. Often, you don't even know the weight of your words, or the hilarity of them. Dad and I do. Sometimes, we laugh out loud. Sometimes, we stifle a laugh as to not embarrass you. And sometimes...we just flat shake our heads in awe. Keaton - your little vocabulary is growing by LEAPS and BOUNDS lately. You are repeating near everything and you LOVE to explore the "why" of this world. In fact, Betsy sent me a snapchat the other night of Callie telling her that all you ever say is "Why, why, why....all day long at Pam's!" You certainly do ask Why. You also say funny things...like the other night when you pranced around the house, carrying a play golf club, declaring everyone was on your baseball team. Or the night your Dad taught you to say, "Daddy, Badaaaaa".....oh ya, Daddy really is a badass, isn't he? And, in following your brothers footsteps, you have to know the...

Tis the season...

This year, we went a different route with our Christmas tree. We've typically gone and picked a real one...but this year, we talked the kids into trying a fake tree. The advantage, setting it up Thanksgiving evening, and having a whole MONTH to enjoy the warm glow of the lights. The disadvantage of putting it up Thanksgiving night.....Mom's nerves are shot, Keaton hadn't had a nap, and the kids were trying to help, but it was NOT helpful. However....we got it up, we got it decorated, we were all still smiling and we curled up to enjoy it before bedtime. The best news of all...when we put the tree up, Kid the Elf noticed and came that very night. The kids were so stoked to see him back. Our elf isn't mischievous, but he moves around the house each evening after visiting Santa, and the kids love to find him each morning. These are special years together, with wonderful memories. Cheers to enjoying this wonderful, happy, blessed season! One of my very, very favorite...

November in a Nutshell

I can't hardly believe November has come and gone...and as I thought I'd get caught up on a few posts...I realized there were several pictures from the month that I hadn't shared here. Thank goodness Apple is good at organizing all of my photos by date, so that I can remember when we did what! The first week of November was crazy at work for me, with our annual IAC meeting. Jason was gone that first weekend on a fishing/guys weekend trip. We celebrated the guys return that Sunday by hanging out with Wieses, Laytons, Holderly's & Maxwell's for a Colts/Bronco's Football party. Such a fun group of adults and kids! Ryder was all snuggles with me that night -- I loved it! On November 11th, Jenna had asked me to be the photog for their Baby Reveal Party! We are anxiously awaiting the birth of Baby Maxwell #3 and welcome Seth & Jen to the chaos of life with 3!! November 11th was also Veterans Day at school, and Em requested to dress in Red, ...

#fallismyfavorite

Just random pictures I found on my phone ... that obviously prove I have a deep fondness for this time of year, and the wonderful people we get to share it with. On the night of the 2nd to last Fall Baseball game (and the night before Jason's birthday) we went to Wings Etc with Wieses & Layton's....and finally ordered a giant beer....I can't remember what they called it. And yes. We drank it all. Good times.   Jason devoted his actual birthday to being the man of my dreams. Super trucker/Farmer Jason. Won my heart all over again!  This child is so her father's daughter.  Last night to ride before Harvest 2015 was over. FASTEST FALL EVER!  All our kids know/love Joe in their hearts. He's definitely one of our special gaurdian angels.  This stinker melts my heart.
