These kids keep us on our TOES....
Colton - you're doing awesome in Kindergarten. We have our backtracks from time to time as far as respecting others and learning how to sit still/wait your turn in class, but for the better part of the year, you've brought home most O's and S+'s on your weekly reports...Dad and I are beyond proud of the progress you've made this year. You also recently got moved up to studying the 1st grade sight word list, and found out you've officially graduated T-ball for Pinto League. You're quickly mastering math -- those skills seem to come easy to you (thankfully you did not inherit your Mom's math skills!) and your writing improves all the time. You officially LOVE the winter & snow, but hate the fact that you cannot wear shorts in the winter. We're still working to grasp the when it's okay to wear shorts to school concept. Even if other kids ARE doing it....you are not. Sorry. Not sorry.
- you made my DAY when you reciprocated this little surprise as we packed our lunches last week...and you even apologized for not finishing it..."I ran out of room and you said get in the van ... soo.... here!" :)
-- You recently joined the "toothless wonder club"..........and are as cute as a button without your teeth! :)

last night, we saw a limo in Brookston by the funeral home. Anyway – I pointed it out, and Colton
says…”oh ya. That’s like what the princip….pres…. it’s like what Abe Lincoln
rides in. Right Mom?”………………………………….um. Maybe. Like. 150 years ago. Surely they
had limos then. Right?

Emmalyn - You are rocking Preschool. You bring home your papers each day, and explain to me what you did. You are doing a fantastic job of coloring in the lines -- and that's amazing to me at your age, because Colton was not doing that. Blame it on being a boy, I guess, but your preciseness amazes me. You are quick to mimick all that Colton is learning too -- and doing wonderfully. We had your first parent teacher conference last week and you were praised up and down. They talked about how sweet you are, and that you are catching onto things very quickly. Keep up the good work, kiddo! We're proud of you! You are very into playing babies/house right now, and I often find your babies in Keaton's bed, under my covers and stashed throughout your little "house" all over the upstairs. You've also gotten your bike back out of storage from this long cold winter and are doing great! Now if the mud would just leave us -- you'll have a great time on that thing! You're even starting to let me play with your hair styles....and leaving them in for at least an hour after I drop you off at Pam's! :)

Keaton your big update is that you are officially talking. Well. Kind of. You can say - Dadda.....daaaaaaaa...dada....
You kids are growing and changing before our eyes....it's hard to keep up. But we're loving every minute of the chaos, the mess, the tears, the arguments, the laughs, the hugs, the life. You kids are our world, and though we don't say it near often enough -- you are all three truly blessings. We love you!
