More Fun...

Something went screwy with that post, so I'll add more here -- instead.  After taking our turn riding with Grandpa, I took Colton back to the house, and he got to play with Great Grandma Hancock -- she'd come out to ride in the combine too. Her first time in all her 80 years! Can you believe it? Regardless...she had a good time with Colton back at the house... But when she tried to kiss on him...he wasn't into that... So, she scooped him up and made him be into it! After Grandma left, I went back out to the field, to ride with Dad some more...little did I know what he had in store. That's right...I drove. It was cool, and I wasn't half bad...except, I was totally not good at lining the spouts up with the rows...Dad always had to do that over for me. Other than that, he said I wasn't half bad! All in all, it was a great day. We went back after everyone was finished, had a nice supper, and started a campfire in Mom's firepit. Matt & S...

Pictures. That's all. Kind of.

I promised pictures in my last post, and today, I'm following through. What a great weekend. Saturday, after work, we got to hang out at the farm, and it was such a beautiful day. The weather was great, Colton was a good baby, it was fun to ride with Dad. Just a good day to spend with family. Part of the reason I love this time of year! Okay...enough said. Here are pictures... Great Grandma Hall turned 88 on Tuesday of last week. Colton and I had the day off, so we visited. See the balloons -- Colton LOVED them -- Aunt Dee held them up, and of course, the pictures were harder to capture...he wanted to watch the balloons, not mommy. And, finally...Colton SCREAMING Happy Birthday to Great Grandma -- she absolutely lights up when he comes to visit. I'm not sure sometimes that she realizes that he's my baby, but she LOVES babies....maybe that's why she had 9 of her own? Regardless...this is the best kind of medicine for Grandma. She's just all g...

Already October

Would you believe it if I told you alot has happened since my last post? What did I promise in that post, next week, I would write? I should have said two weeks. I swear, September threw me through the ringer, and made me lose all sense of time. I swore that if I could just get through those three hectic weeks, life would slow down. Well, I must not plan very far in advance, because within the blink of an eye, I've got another 400+ group in today, and I'm at work on the weekend. It's Saturday folks, which is significantly better in my eyes than Sunday, but I'm still here at work, in dress clothes on one of the two days a week that are supposed to be devoted to comfy jeans, sweatshirts, and all the time in the world for my baby. Oh well, while I'm sitting here counting down the minutes until I can go home (2ish), Grandma Hall is having a ball. I'd venture to guess that Grandpa Hall is too...in his own right. Jason's playing farmer today, helpin...

My life. In bullet points...

Life has been extremely nuts lately. Remember back in June, when I hated my job because there was so much crap going on. It was like conference on top of conference...I think I've gone back in time, because the last three weeks (ending this coming Tuesday) have just been outrageous. But, I'm not going to focus on work -- afterall, what fun would that be. Let's focus on the other fun things going on in my life right now. A bullet point list if you will... Colton is crawling. I know I've mentioned this before, but holy crap -- the kid can get around. It's like I'm constantly chasing him, keeping him out of things that might hurt him, or simply, within eyesight of wherever I am working/hanging out. Jason's big thing lately has been to get Colton out of bed when we do in the morning, which is all great and good for him, because he can play a little, then hand him over to me, and run out the door. In the mean time, while I'm doing things to h...

Just because...

Well, my little boy is growing up so fast. Remember how I told you it's like he knows he has legs now, and he's figured out how to use them...check this out. We got this activity table for him last night. I'm pretty sure it's going to be a quality investment. What is this thing?? Checkin' it out... Cool Mom...totally cool! That's all....just some fun for the day. It's so great to watch him learn new things...maybe he'll be smart...wouldn't that be awesome? We'll count on God to pull through on that one...we know it's not coming from either of his parents! :) HA Almost Friday...

Another busy month!

Did we go back to June and I somehow missed it? It's now September 10th, and I've got three weeks of back to back conferences, and so far, they've all been a headache. It's crazy. So crazy in fact, that I've not blogged for a long time!!! What the heck, have I actually been working?? Today...I'm making time to blog. Enough is enough. Labor Day weekend came and went, and was fairly uneventful. We had a dinner date with Ryan & Steph on Friday (fun times, of course, Felix missed his Uncle Butch). Saturday brought cleaning & a cookout at Biehl's. Sunday was a busy one -- church, visit with Gram, family get together with Robinson's, then home to shoot clay pigeons and pig out on pizza with Seth, Jenna & Silas. It was a fun day...but tiring. Monday was a lot of fun too -- well, in the tiring way. We dropped Colton off with Aunt Nina & Laura first thing on Friday, then down to help John & Jess officially move out of their ho...

Funny? Or Cruel?

Thursday, 28 August 2008 Okay, this might classify me as a bad parent, but I couldn't resist. While freezing peaches last night, I could hear Colton wimpering from the sunroom....so when I went in to peak in on him....this is what I found. Which, immediately made me think of this... Okay, I know he looks like he is in pain, but honestly, he was fine -- he was just really cranky last night because he's got a bad constantly runny nose, a hoarse voice, and I'd say just all over doesn't feel good. Normally, I think I could have gotten a smile for this photo. Maybe there will be a repeat performance...who knows. Did I mention too that he's trying to crawl? It's scary...I have to watch him that much more now. No more putting him in front of his barnyard to play, and getting things accomplished. The kid needs a pen to keep him in one location! He's ON THE MOVE!...I love a couple of things about how he's learning to crawl --First, the ...
